We announced last week that Ed Byers, a PhD student from the School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences had scooped top prize in our competition to attend the Earth Summit in Rio this June.
Now, as a result of the fantastically high standard of the competition, and thanks to the generosity of our sponsors at Northumbrian Water, the Planet Earth Institute and our colleagues in the School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, we're delighted to be able to announce that our top three students from the competition will all now be attending the Earth Summit in Rio and reporting back live on developments there!
Congratulations to Ed, James Robinson (MEng, Civil Engineering) and Claire Chisholm (BA Combined Honours)! Fantastically well deserved - we're very proud of you all!
Don't forget, you can read selected entries from the competition, and follow Ed, James and Claire's progress, via our blog site.
