Public engagement, policy and skills

Public engagement, policy and skills

Researchers associated with the Swan Centre are investigating:

  • The effective innovation of energy efficient and renewable energy technologies
  • Ways we think about, plan for, generate and use energy
  • The governance and management of energy-related innovation in and by public agencies, firms, and the public
  • Public engagement and skills development to facilitate the ‘transition to sustainability’

The research is led by Swan Research Coordinator Dr Audley Genus who is RCUK Wellcome Trust Beacon North East Fellow for public engagement, focusing on energy and environment issues.
