Research Methods

Involving people in modelling and monitoring.

Our research integrates laboratory investigation with:

  • catchment and urban hydrological observation
  • full-scale demonstration and experimentation
  • modelling and simulation of water systems.

We use appropriate communication approaches and technologies to provide appropriate tools and frameworks to enable stakeholders and policy makers to engage with our research outputs to make better decisions.

We explore the potential of innovative modelling approaches to represent the role of people in the hydrological system. We use new data sources, including global hourly rainfall and community-led monitoring, to enable wider geographical reach.
