Response of marine invertebrates to ocean acidification across multiple generations

Summary

Ocean acidification, as a component of global climate change, presents fundamental challenges to marine biodiversity and sustained ecosystem health. This project will determine the reproductive and population responses of key marine invertebrates – particularly harpacticoid copepods and tube building polychaetes - to exposure to elevated PCO2 conditions in combination with co-exposure to copper across multiple generations.
