Please find below lots of environmental sustainability resources for you to use in your local area. Please click on the images to download the resource. If you would like us to email you copies of the resources instead, please contact us at saveit@ncl.ac.uk
The environmental sustainability resources are divided into the following categories - please clink on the links in the list to go to that category;

When printing the resources, please adhere to the following suggestions;
- laminate posters, to avoid tatting looking wall art.
- refresh the posters once they are starting to look tired.
- move the posters round in your local area, to create fresh interest.
- print the guidance documents on both sides of the pages, to save paper.
Environmental Sustainability Awareness Presentation
This presentation is an introduction to local environmental sustainability awareness, centering around Newcastle University's efforts to reduce its environmental impact, and how you can help.
The presentation is to be presented to staff by Environmental Co-ordinators, however if you require a member of the Sustainability Team to give the presentation please let us know. The presentation can be customised to suit the school / service / institute / unit's needs - please pick out the slides that are relevant to your local area. Please read the accompanying notes before presenting these slides.

Energy Resources
The following resources were created with the aim of increasing our energy awareness on campus. Some of these resources are only applicable to certain areas of campus (e.g. automatic lighting) - please only use the posters which are applicable to your area.

Waste Resources
This series of recycling posters are aimed at specific issues that have been noted around campus. For posters related directly to the recycling bins, such as the recycling point poster, or recycling bin stickers, please contact Daniel O'Connor, the Waste Manager, at recycle@ncl.ac.uk .

Guidance Documents
The following general guidance documents have been created. Building specific guidance can be found below.
Heating and Cooling Guidance is available in the form of small posters and stickers located next to radiators (TRVs) and temperature sensors - educating staff on their functions and how to use them. General guidance on heating and cooling issues, like what to do if you are too hot / cold, or notice a fault in the system, is included in the Electrical Heating Guidance document, available to download above.
There are several new buildings on campus which have environmentally sustainable features, such as motion sensor lighting. In order for you to get a better understanding of these buildings, we have produce the following guidance documents.
King's Gate Heating and Lighting Guidance (pdf, 525 KB).
A guidance document for the Baddiley-Clark building is currently being created and will be available here soon.
Induction Pack Resources
The induction pack contains environmental sustainability information for new staff and students. The content provides an overview of environmental sustainability at Newcastle University, as well as covering examples of the current posters on campus, guidance documents, and lab specific information.
