The Environmental Sustainability Strategy

This has been approved by University Council.

The strategy formalises the university's commitment to environmental sustainability and acknowledges that changing the way we work and study is essential to reduce our environmental impact. Most importantly it includes an action plan which sets objectives and targets covering key areas including:

Newcastle University is part of the 10:10 campaign. Here Prof. Chris Brink (Vice Chancellor) and Prof. Tony Stevenson (Pro-Vice Chancellor) demonstrate senior management support.

The action plan is working document and is current being reviewed. A downloadable version of the action plan will be available soon.
