Environmental impacts
The University undertakes a wide variety of activities and provides a range of services, aspects of which have an impact on the environment. These impacts are also diverse and numerous, and many are significant in their potential to cause harm. For example, the University consumes a large quantity of electricity from the national grid, the production of which results in the formation of greenhouse gases and other pollutants.
