Water
As the water used by most of the University buildings is metered every litre used is charged. The University uses approximately 500,000,000 litres of water each year costing around £600,000 each year.
The University aims to reduce its water consumption as outlined as part of the Energy Policy.
Did you know? A tap dripping at the rate of one drop per second would waste enough water in one day to make 12 mugs of coffee. Over a year this dripping tap would waste the average person's total water supply for 11 days. |
