The Completed Restoration of Cockle Park Tower

External facade Cockle Park Farm lies 4 km north of Morpeth. The late medieval tower is Listed Grade 1 and sits in the middle of the farm. The building has circular bartizans which are of late medieval and Jacobean and the main body of the building has large Georgian gothic style windows.

It was last used for student accommodation in the 1970s but evacuated due to instability of the structure. The structure and the exterior have now been fully restored. The interior has been consolidated and may be refurbished in the future.

Visits can be made to the Tower restricted to the exterior and the entrance lobby by appointment only.
