Baddiley-Clark Building
The facility opened in February 2010 and is home to:

- The Centre for Bacterial Cell Biology - this is the world's first major research centre with a focus on bacterial cells. The Centre provides scientific insights crucial for the discovery and development of new antibiotics, as well as providing solutions to a huge range of industrial and environmental problems.
- The Institute of Health and Society conducting internationally recognised research on population health, health services and health related social science.
- The 'Forum' catering facility.
The new building was awarded a BREEAM 'Excellent 2' award for green and sustainable design and is only one of three laboratory projects to attain this environmental award in country.
The building was officially opened in April 2011 by Sir Liam Donaldson, Chancellor of Newcastle University and Sir Paul Nurse, President of the Royal Society.
