Robinson Library

robinson refurbishment imageESS and Library staff collaborated on the design of the 3rd and 4th floor refurbishment of the Philip Robinson Library to expand and improve the student study spaces.

The Philip Robinson Library commissioned postgraduates Lahari Chukkala and Jean Price to undertake a project to understand how students use the space in the library and what they want in a study space. The ‘Results of the Student Study Survey’ February 2012 provided the student perspective, and this combined with the staff’s experience and knowledge informed the redesign.
