Client Project Champion

The Client Project Champion is the nominated person with overall responsibility for justification and delivery of the requirements of the project.

The Client Project Champion is sometimes referred to as the Project Sponsor. They are given the relevant authority within the organisation to make decisions and commit the resources needed to deliver the requirements of the project.

Their prime responsibility is to ensure that all output and deliverables are in line with the objectives set out and that changes are agreed via the project reporting structure to ensure the project is completed within the agreed timescales and to cost and act as the Champion for the project and communicate benefits to others.
