Security
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life to the university community by providing a secure and safe environment through a professional committed service.
In-house Security Service staff (University Police) are on duty 24/7 and can be contacted on 0191 222 6817 or via e-mail at security.control@ncl.ac.uk.
In an emergency where there is an imminent and serious danger to people or property dial 6-666 to contact the University Security Control Room or dial 9-999 to contact directly to the Police, Fire and Ambulance Services.
The Security Control Centre is located in the Armstrong Building and houses the campus-wide CCTV System.
The Control Centre has direct radio links with Northumbria Police and a dedicated Northumbria Police Constable.
Car Parking
Security Service staff ensure that car park users adhere to the University Car Parking Policy which have been made to safeguard the well-being of staff, students and the general public who use the University car parking facilities.
The Civil Penalty Parking Enforcement Scheme is in operation at this University.
