Cycle Parking on Campus

Individual cycle lockers are available for hire on campus for those staff who want the maximum security for their cycles. These are located close to Merz Court, the Agriculture Building, the Cassie Building and the Medical School. For further details on availability contact ess-travel@ncl.ac.uk.

  • Paul O'Gorman
  • Claremont Bridge
  • Ridley

Enquiries regarding spare capacity and keys should be directed to ext. 7171 or call at ESS reception at 9 Kensington Terrace. There is no charge for the use of these facilities but should you lose your key the replacement cost will be £10.

  • Devonshire - Floor 1,2,3,4, and 5 (Unisex) (only for occupants of the building)
  • Drummond - Ground Floor
  • Kensington Terrace - Ground Floor (Mens)
  • King George VI - Basement (Unisex)
  • Merz Court - Floor 3 (Unisex)
  • Old Library Building - Level 1 (Unisex)
  • Park Terrace - Ground Floor and Floor 2 (Mens)

There are more and more cycle lanes being put in place in Newcastle City Centre and you can cycle past most rush hour traffic. Cycling to work even once or twice a week means you can arrive at work less stressed and more healthy. And remember, you can claim back work related mileage if you use your bike for University business.
