Pallets
Most large deliveries arrive on pallets. Pallets have revolutionised the transport system saving £1000s and improving efficiencies. There is a well established reuse system for pallets and they should never be disposed of in general waste.
Always encourage the delivery company to take back any pallets you have on a like for like basis.
If you cannot get the delivery company to take back pallets then we have a reuse and recycling system which is easy to use.
To reuse or recycle a pallet simply fill out a porters request form.
All wooden pallets that are collected in good condition are reused again in pallet delivery systems If the pallet is damaged it is stripped down to reclaim useable timber. This is reused in joinery or it is recycled into chipboard.
Plastic wrapping often comes with deliveries- we can recycle that too!
