Open-plan Offices

Large shared space is more flexible and the most cost effective to occupy and alter as activities change. In addition, shared space can produce cultural change and interaction.

Being cost conscious about space helps competitiveness of activities (such as research) and frees up money for core activity (such as teaching staff and better student staff ratios).

The University's Space Management Policy is for open plan or shared offices and large, flexible multi user space.
