Climatic and environmental changes show the impact of human influence on the planet and our limited ability to manage this influence, through political, economic, technological or social engineering. Inspired by many calls on this subject, from within the humanities as well as science, this lecture proposes a non-programmatic response to climate change that also takes in philosophical and religious ideas of virtue.
