
Professor Charles Harvey is a distinguished economic and business historian with a long-standing interest in the North-East. Prior to this appointment, Professor Harvey was responsible for the strategic direction, development and operation at Strathclyde University of a £30 million business school, with 4,850 students and operations in 10 countries. Under his direction, Strathclyde Business School became firmly established as one of the top business schools in the UK and Europe. He previously held the position of Dean at Bristol Business School and was the founding Director of Royal Holloway's School of Management in 1990. Professor Harvey brings with him extensive experience of academic leadership and management, particularly with respect to strategy and organisational change.
