You can eat your way around the world in Newcastle’s
city centre with a range of international cuisines waiting
to tempt your tastebuds. As well as the wide range of
Chinese restaurants and supermarkets on Chinatown’s
Stowell Street you can find Thai, Turkish, Lebanese ,
Spanish, and Japanese food and more. Zapatista serves
a taste of Mexico with their bespoke burritos and fiery
fajitas. Just off Grey Street, Dabbawal d elights in offering
Indian street food with a tapas twist. Meanwhile Electric
East serves up innovative dishes from South East Asia.

If you long for familiar favourites then there are plenty
of restaurants in Newcastle to satisfy your cravings.
Eldon Square, Grey Street and the Quayside provide
plenty of choice, including Miller and Carter , Prezzo,
Carluccio’s, Wagamama, Nando’s, Pizza Express,
Yo Sushi, Zizzis , La Tasca, Slug and Lettuce, Café Rouge
and plentiful Wetherspoon pubs. For a quick off-campus
lunch, pop over to Northumberland Street and you’ll
find all the usual suspects including Starbucks, Costa
and Pret a Manger. The Botanist is ideal for special
occasions with views of Grey’s Monument.
