One way to make a difference to the university is to support the resources which matter most to you by becoming a friend.
Depending on what you are most interested in supporting, you will be rewarded with benefits like discounted tickets to events, regular newsletters and the opportunity to attend meetings and have a say in how the facility is run. The three areas friends can support are:
Friends of the Robinson support the library in its mission to provide information resources and services to meet the needs of the University’s research, teaching and engagement activity. Membership costs £12 per year or £150 for lifetime membership. Friends are invited to regular meetings to discuss the library, and receive an annual newsletter. For further details visit the Library website or contact Jennifer Rankin by e-mail at: J.A.Rankin@ncl.ac.uk
Friends of the NCLA pay £15 per year to receive priority booking and a 10 per cent discount on tickets to NCLA events, plus a 10 per cent discount on NCLA publications. For further details visit the NCLA website or contact Melanie Birch at: melanie.birch@ncl.ac.uk
Friends of King’s Hall contribute directly to the lunchtime concert series and are added to a mailing list to receive all the news relating to live music in the King’s Hall. The minimum subscription is £15 per year (£8 concession). Application forms are available from the Concert Secretary.
