The Women's Circle Fund

Newcastle University’s Women’s Circle is headed by alumna Teresa Graham (BA English Literature 1977) and includes a group of female alumni and friends of the University who are working together to build up a fund to help ensure that we can support the aspirations of young people, regardless of circumstance.

What difference will it make?

The fund will help provide an education for the brightest and best students, regardless of background. Newcastle University works closely with PARTNERS schools and colleges throughout the northern region to provide opportunities and support for students who may be thinking of applying to university. As a result of this working relationship, and the events and activities that we provide, we are able to:

  • Raise awareness of higher education among students
  • Identify and develop students' potential
  • Help students make the transition from school and college into Newcastle University

Over the past 10 years of the nationally-recognised scheme, more than 22,000 students have attended one of our PARTNERS events, and over 1,500 students have registered at Newcastle University after successfully coming through the PARTNERS programme Supported Entry Route.

What difference can you make?

By giving through the Women’s Circle you could help create opportunities for all and help unlock the potential in a young person. We aim to raise a total of £9,000 each year to provide a full scholarship to one student who has entered the University through the PARTNERS route.
