Public Information on Research

Doctor dresses as a clown treats boy The Great North Children’s Hospital strives to be a centre of excellence not only for offering state-of-the art clinical services to our young patients in the region, but also for training the next generation of health professionals and for research.

Research is essential not only for developing a better understanding of what goes wrong when a child falls ill but most importantly for learning how to prevent it from happening and for developing better treatments.

We offer access to clinical trials and participation in research for our young patients if they and their families wish to engage.
