Identity Cluster Workshop

On Weds October 9th, 1-4pm, the Identity Cluster is holding a workshop funded by the School of GPS. This is an excellent chance to launch the cluster for the academic year and to meet new and old colleagues who are interested in all aspects of identity.

The guest speakers at the workshop are:

Jean-Philippe Imbert, Dublin City University. His paper title is to be confirmed (details to follow). However I have been lucky enough to work with Jean-Philippe and see him present and his is very engaging, warm and thought provoking in his style. Sam  Friedman, City University London. His paper is entitled: 'Comedy and Distinction: the Cultural Currency of a 'Good' Sense of Humour'. Along with his presentation he will be undertaking a workshop activity with us all. Web: http://www.city.ac.uk/arts-social-sciences/academic-staff-profiles/dr-sam-friedman

The workshop is Weds 9th October, 1-4pm, in the Daysh Building, Room 2.29

Please do come along and support the workshop and the wider Identity Research Cluster. It will be an informal, friendly and welcoming event, with the chance to exchange ideas, meet other colleagues and the guest speakers. Do feel free to pass on this email to any colleagues you think may be interested.

Best wishes,
Mark and Emily.
