New crime and punishment book series launched

Dr Thom Brooks (Politics) has launched a new edited book series, Crime and Punishment: Critical Essays in Legal Philosophy, to be published by Ashgate. The series will publish collections on the topics of Retribution, Deterrence, Shame Punishment, Juvenile Offending, and Sentencing to appear in early 2013.

Brooks is Reader in Political and Legal Philosophy at Newcastle University. He is editor and founder of the Journal of Moral Philosophy. He edits several book series, including Continuum Ethics, Studies in Global Justice and Human Rights, and Studies in Moral Philosophy. His recent books include Ethics and Moral Philosophy (2011), New Waves in Ethics (2011), Global Justice and International Affairs (2012), Hegel's Philosophy of Right (2012), and Punishment (2012).
