Postgraduate Student in the School wins award

Jayne Butler, a student on our MA Int Pols (Global Justice & Ethics) PT programme works for a Tyneside refugee charity that has one the top award at the Guardian Newspaper's Annual Charity Awards. Jayne manages the Comfrey project, a groundbreaking scheme that brings asylum seekers and refugees together to enjoy a shared love of gardening:

Jayne said "the award is a real testament to the hard work of all our volunteers and staff and to thse who have embraced the project and come along every week to make it work".
