Professor Peter Hopkins awarded £452,062 AHRC grant

Many congratulations to Peter Hopkins who has been awarded an AHRC grant of £452,062 for a three year project entitled 'Non-Muslim' and Muslim youth: religious identities, Islamophobia and everyday geopolitics'.

This project is in collaboration with Rowena Arshad (Edinburgh) and Gurchathen Sanghera (St Andrews). Kate Botterill, who is currently a research fellow at Loughborough University - and who recently graduated from Newcastle with a PhD in Human Geography - will be joining the team when the project starts in March 2013
