Our Human Geography Masters programme provides specialist research training and is recognised by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) as offering the requisite skills training for preparation for a PhD. This research training Masters is designed to provide high quality research training to enhance key skills and employability.

Within the Centre for Urban and Regional Development Studies in Geography, we offer a suite of programmes in Regional Development (MA, Diploma, Certificate). The programmes offer recent graduates, practitioners, those returning to study and international students, amongst others, the opportunity to develop the practical skills and capabilities required to engage, research and participate in the emergent regional development agenda.

Postgraduate students in Geography play in integral role in both attending, organising and participating in the wide range of events and activities that take place within the Geography community in the School. In terms of facilities the School provides a dedicated postgraduate computer room (eight work stations with unlimited internet access); postgraduate common room; postgraduate study rooms; access to telephone, fax, computing and photocopying facilities.
