Angela recently completed her doctorate at Newcastle University. Her thesis, entitled ‘Same-Sex Domestic Abuse: an Invisible or Ignored Reality?’ explored issues which may affect the help-seeking behaviour of men and women in abusive same-sex relationships.
Her research interests include gender, sexuality, ageing, health, and crime. She has recently been lecturing on gender and crime, and gender and health at Newcastle and Teesside Universities.
Angela is currently providing research assistance on the ESRC funded project, Post Trafficking Livelihoods in Nepal: Women, Sexuality and Citizenship, working with Professor Diane Richardson, Professor Nina Laurie, Dr Meena Poudel and Dr Janet Townsend.
