Other Current projects
- Currently writing a monograph which summarises the complete empirical results of the ESRC Future Governance Programme Project entitled ‘Innovation in Environmental Governance: a Comparative Analysis of New Environmental Policy Instruments.’ This is a co-authored monograph with Dr. Rüdiger Wurzel and Dr. Andrew Jordan.

- Currently writing a monograph entitled 'Policy Networks and Communities: Theories and Approaches in Political Science' for Palgrave. This work brings together a wide range of network approaches in the social sciences in order to explicate the concept of political and policy learning

Won a competition to edit special issue of Journal of European Public Policy. Focus of special issue will be the EU and learning theory.

Funding

2007 Leverhulme Research Fellow. Project Title: ‘Comparing Environmental Agencies and Governance’.

Dr. Anthony Zito and his co-researchers Dr. Andrew Jordan and Dr.
Rudi Wurzel received ESRC funding for their ESRC Future
Governance Programme study of New Environmental Policy Instruments
in Europe. They have presented their findings to the European Union Commission officials as well as the Ministry officials and interested private sector actors in the four case countries: Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. This project received a grading of "outstanding" from the ESRC.
