Undergraduate students choose their subject area-specific Erasmus module in Newcastle. They then obtain academic credits by taking the equivalent European credits (ECTS) at the host university. Modules at the host university are chosen after consultation with the Erasmus coordinator. Students are expected to progress research, writing up their dissertation (where applicable) and submit an Erasmus report.
Postgraduate students can participate in Erasmus at any stage during their studies. They are expected to progress their research, collaborate with colleagues at the host university, collect credits from relevant modules (if they wish) and submit an Erasmus report on return.
Please note: these arrangements do not apply to students taking the Government and European Union Studies (GEUS) Degree who should contact the Degree Director: Professor Tony Zito.
