David is a social demographer who teachers and conducts research on migration and population redistribution, the production and reproduction of spatial inequalities, and rural and regional, policies in the US, UK and Eastern Europe.
While in Newcastle David collaborated with Tony Champion, Mike Coombes and Colin Wymer on a study of changing residence and changing workplaces over time in the UK. He also co-edited the International Handbook of Rural Studies with Mark Shucksmith.
