AHRC studentships for 2012/13

In 2012/13 we will have one PhD studentship in History, and one in Classics and Ancient History.

In addition, for 2012 entry, Archaeology is able to submit nominations to an open competition across all the University’s BGP subjects for the award of an additional four AHRC doctoral studentships through the AHRC’s Doctoral Awards scheme.

Doctoral Awards scheme

This scheme provides studentships to enable students to undertake and complete a doctoral degree (PhD). Full and partial awards are available through this scheme. A full award covers fees and an annual, tax free stipend of £13,590 (2011/12 rates). A partial award covers fees only. If you are a part time student, support is pro rata.

How to Apply

Full details of how to apply will be posted on the main University Postgraduate web pages when they start accepting applications for 2012 entry.

Please note: you must check the AHRC’s eligibility criteria to see if you are eligible to apply and if you would qualify for a full or partial award.
