Dr Andrew David Stedman teaches history at Newcastle University. His first monograph, Alternatives to Appeasement: Neville Chamberlain and Hitler’s Germany was published by I.B. Tauris in 2011 and he has a range of other publications on inter-war British foreign policy to his name. His PhD thesis won the British International History Group 2008 Thesis Prize.
