Support for postgraduate students
Our postgraduates enjoy an excellent environment in which ambitious and original ideas can flourish.
All our postgraduates have access to the postgraduate common room, clusters of PCs, and can borrow laptop computers for research trips. They also have free access to stationery, photocopying, postage and inter-library loan vouchers, and have full membership of the School and University libraries.
Our research students have the full use of the Postgraduate Research Suite, complete with desk space and computing facilities. They may also be able to draw on the financial support of the School for research trips.
We have a lively research culture, with a full seminar programme. There is an enthusiastic and energetic community who run an online e-journal, the Postgraduate Forum, and hold a regular annual conference.
Student mentoring is available to all our new postgraduates. Wherever possible, the School makes teaching opportunities available to postgraduates.
