We are an informal group of undergraduates, postgraduates and staff who meet regularly to share our interest in the prehistoric world. Our programme of events includes short presentations on current research, book reviews, TV viewings, and at least one fieldtrip. We are largely, but not exclusively, concerned with the European Mesolithic, Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age, and all our welcome to our events, irrespective of background.
Prehistorians at Newcastle are also leading the 'Ure-Swale Archaeology Forum' and the 'Tyne-Forth Forum', bringing together archaeologists from across Yorkshire, North-East England and South-East Scotland.
Please don't hesitate to contact the Prehistoric Forum’s co-ordinator, Dr Jan Harding should you have any queries.
