Job Evaluation

Job evaluation policy

In job evaluation terminology the word “size” is used to indicate the relative significance or importance of a job to the organisation. It is not an absolute term.

The primary purpose of job evaluation is to provide a rational basis for the determination and management of internal relativities between jobs.

Having used a number of different evaluation systems, Newcastle University has now introduced the Hay method of job evaluation as its sole evaluation process.
