Stress Audit

During December 2009 the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) undertook a stress intervention visit to the University. This followed the 2007 employee opinion survey, which included within it the questions from the HSE stress questionnaire.

The intervention visit by the HSE came as the conclusion to a substantial piece of work to assess the extent and causes of work related stress within the University and the practices in place to manage the level and extent of that stress.

The formal letter from the HSE inspector [PDF, 197kB]* following the intervention visit shows that we are making good progress although there are, inevitably, areas for improvement referred to in the recommendations.
