Advances in stroke research can improve quality of life, influence patient care, and save precious NHS resources. The Stroke Research Network provides coordination, leadership and practical help, supporting the vital stroke studies that can change people’s lives.
We bring together researchers, clinical and professional staff, with stroke survivors and their carers, and we support both academic research and industry-sponsored studies, offering 100% coverage of NHS hospitals nationwide.
Set up in 2006, the network has led a sixfold increase in patient recruitment, alongside a patient and carer involvement programme that makes a real impact on both quality and delivery of stroke research.
