Governance
The IAH is a Newcastle University research institute, hosted by the Faculty of Medical Science. The Institute Director has line management responsibility for core academic members from the Faculty.
The IAH is guided by a board which meets quarterly. Senior members of many of our stakeholder organisations are represented as local and regional interests in ageing and health. The membership of the advisory board provides valuable support, advice and context to the Director and his leadership team.
The Institute is led by Director Professor David Burn , supported by an executive that represents interests across the IAH, the University’s research leadership and associated centres and facilities. The executive meets monthly and provides strategic guidance to the IAH Management Group and to other management groups.
