The Institute for Ageing and Health also seeks impact at the regional level, and works closely with its key partner, Years Ahead – the NE Regional Forum on Ageing to do so.
Key Regional Activities
Regional Foresight
The IAH and Years Ahead – the NE Regional Forum on Ageing are working together, with Newcastle University to initiate a regional follow-up to the recently completed national Foresight programme on mental capital and wellbeing.
Regional Engagement Panel
Also working with Years Ahead, we are recruiting for a large regional panel of people interested in ageing to become more actively involved in research and policy making activity. It is hoped that the panel will eventually be geographically and demographically representative of the North East and ensure that important issues of how we support and research the ageing process will have the full involvement of the people of the North East.
