Professor Jim Edwardson – IAH Engagement Champion
The founding Director of the IAH, Jim now chairs years ahead and provides active support and lobbying on behalf of the IAH public engagement aspirations. Jim’s huge regional network and influence regionally and within the University at a strategic level are an invaluable resource.
Now a self proclaimed ‘older person’, Jim is also well placed to provide you with the advice you might need on older people’s likely attitudes to your public engagement proposals.
Lynne Corner - IAH Engagement Manager
Lynne provides the day to day leadership of engagement projects which do not sit in our established research base, and should be the first choice contact for IAH researchers considering their public engagement needs and aspirations. She is a Beacon Fellow for Beacon North East, the beacon for public engagement established in partnership between Newcastle and Durham Universities and Centre for Life.
Lynne can provide advice on the feasibility and likely cost of your public engagement plans and facilitate access to the public through VOICENorth, the regional public engagement panel established in partnership between years ahead and IAH.
Lynne also has extensive regional networks amongst regional organisations at a working level, which may help you to embed your research in practical service delivery.
Sarah Armstrong – IAH Engagement Secretary
New to the team, Sarah is the permanent presence on an otherwise part-time team. She provides administrative support to engagement activities not embedded in our established research base and to the development of our engagement strategy.
