Location: Great Gable Seminar Room, CARU, Campus for Ageing and Vitality
Time/Date: 7th November 2013, 12:15 - 13:00

You are invited to the IAH research seminar which will take place on Thursday 7 November 2013 in the Great Gable Seminar Room, CARU, Campus for Ageing and Vitality. The meeting will start at 12.15 and will be followed at approximately 13.00 by a sandwich lunch.

The presentation today will be given by Claire McDonald, Age UK/British Geriatric Society Clinical Fellow in the IAH and the title of her talk will be 'A Prospective Evaluation of the Associations of Neurocardiovascular Instability'.

Abstract:

Cross sectional studies have indicated that neurocardiovascular instability (NCVI) is associated with falls, cognitive impairment and white matter disease on MRI. The longer term associations of NCVI are less clear. We will present data from a 10 year longitudinal study examining association between NCVI and cognitive function, falls and white matter disease in older adults
