I joined CARU's team in August 2009 as the Peggy Coates Research Fellow to implement ICICLE-GAIT, a longitudinal study that investigates the predictive value of subclinical changes in gait performance in Parkinson’s disease (PD) for cognitive decline, risk of falling and mobility status. Several related studies concerning the interface between cognition, vision and gait are also underway. My clinical and research background is in assessment and treatment of neurological gait, and in stroke rehabilitation. Prior to coming to CARU I was Senior Lecturer at the University of Otago, New Zealand.
