Members of the Institute for Ageing and Health currently contribute towards a range of taught programmes and supervise a growing community of PhD and MD students, providing research projects in a wide range of investigative areas. Many of our researchers, particularly in clinical fields, also teach undergraduates.

Postgraduate Research Degrees

The Institute provides excellent opportunities for training and education in research through its MRes programmes and PhD and MD supervision. For course content, research areas, research skills training, entry requirements, fees, funding and visa information please see our degree descriptions:

MRes programmes are 12-month degrees comprising taught modules and a major research project (20 weeks). These courses are suitable for both science and medical graduates and can lead directly to PhD studies.
