The Institute of Cellular Medicine has been established to support the highest quality scientific and clinical research and to promote its translation and application in practice in partnership with industry and the healthcare sector.
We focus on important research areas & approaches which can explore the basis of disease, develop new methods for diagnosis and treatment, derive new treatments and assess their impacts in practice.
We recognise the importance of developing the next generation of researchers and contribute fully to the Newcastle University undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes and run workshops for local schools.
