Interactive 3D Views of Carnegie Stage 12
To activate the Interactive 3D View for each Model you will need to Left Click on the thumbnail of it below. A window will then appear and you can rotate the image by holding the left mouse button down and moving the mouse from side to side. You can load more than one model at a time although this will depend on the speed of your computer.
The images may take a few seconds to load so please be patient.

The 3D models above
show a volume render of an OPT model. No staining has been used on any
of the specimens and the images were captured using autofluorescence
with a FITC filter. |

Painted Anatomical Domains |
The above model is a surface render of anatomical
domains. These have been manually defined in the OPT model using specialised
software and then visualised using commercial rendering packages. The
various domains are: neural tube - orange; heart - red; liver - green;
eye - blue; otic vesicle - yellow; dorsal root ganglia - light blue. |
