EADHB Database Download Page |
The EADHB Gene Expression Database requires the user to download two other programs to be able to run it. These are Java J2SE and Java WebStart. It is recommended to download and install Java J2SE v1.4.2 as this package includes both of the required components. You may already have the software installed on your machine so it may be wise to check with your systems administrator before installing any software.
1. Download the Java J2SE v1.4.2 Installation Files. Save the file and install both the Java J2SE and Java Webstart.
2. Download the EADHB database start file. Save it on your hard-drive (Internet Explorer will do this automatically. On Netscape Navigator you have to manually save it when asked).
Once this has been done once you will be able to access the database interface subsequently by simply clicking on the "Quick-start EADHB Database" link on the intro web page, or alternatively by using Java WebStart directly. To do this you should start Java WebStart and select EADHB DB from the pop-up window that will appear by double clicking on the icon.
Instructions on how to use the interface are found in the 'Help' menu of the EADHB interface itself.
If you have any problems with the installation process, the operation of the database or any other aspect of the database then please write to us via the the Contacts page or have a look at the FAQ lists.
