The Supreme Court has found in favour of exempting people with disabilities from paying the bedroom tax.  This is a welcome move, and will stop thousands of people with disabilities having to pay an extra £12 or £22 pounds a week for their 'spare' room.  Work carried out by Suzanne Moffatt and colleagues from the Institute of Health & Society in 2014 demonstrated that, despite the UK government's assertions that the 'bedroom tax' would have no impact on health and wellbeing, the tax was linked with serious impacts on health and wellbeing (see http://jpubhealth.oxfordjournals.org/content/early/2015/03/13/pubmed.fdv031.full
