My main research is currently on large, radiation-related childhood cancer studies. However, I am also carrying out two regional studies, related to my PhD, on patients with histiocytic disorders - rare cancer-like diseases of the immune system. Previous work has included studies on bone tumours, childhood disability and other rare diseases.
- Study of the long-term sequelae of radiation exposure due to CT scanning in children and young people.
- EPI-CT - Epidemiological study to quantify risks for paediatric computerised tomography and to optimise doses - EU collaborative study.
- Long-term risks associated with fluoroscopic cardiology procedures in children.
-14 Studies on adults with histiocytic disorders in Newcastle and the Northeast region.
