Background

I have worked in Higher Education since 1996 when I commenced employment with Newcastle University in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health.  I worked as a PA to Prof Martin White and  as an administrator for the Essential Junior Rotation in Public Health which is part of the MBBS undergraduate medical course. I have since been employed as PA to many senior academics within the Insititute of Health and Society (IHS) along with admin duties for teaching and learning.  In 2010 I changed my role from PA and administrative secretary to administrative secretary.

Roles and Responsibilities

My current role as an administrative secretary within IHS includes admininstration reponsibilities for postgraduate research students and also administration duties regarding Teaching and Learning for both undergraduate and postgraduate taught students.
